Hey everybody!
I am a french student in urban planning and I'm doing my 3-month internship in Phnom Penh from June to the end of August. Is it better to rent a flat or go to a guesthouse for this stay?
I need your advice! if you have places to recommend, go ahead!
Book into hotel/gh and get a deal. Too much hassle trying to find an apartment, pay security deposit, mess around paying fuel charges etc. Plus you will possibly find landlords reluctant to entertain you for less than six months.
A grad student I met was staying in the hotel/restaurant Lyon D'Or by riverside. She was getting it for $300 per month which is about $10 per day. Not bad considering the location. No fuel bills or worries about leaving the air con on.
Sound advice. Get a GH and get a $300 a month deal.
Also very good is The Pickled Parrot at $300 with wi-fi in the room.
