I am looking for a very big 1 bedroom apartment or possibly 2 bedroom apartment in the BKK3 or BKK1 area that meets the following criteria:
• Fully furnished with high quality and comfortable Western style furnishing (I already have a big screen tv and microwave, so don’t need those)
• 1bedroom apt may be o-k if its very big (about 90 – 110 square meters), spacious and has some storage space. If average size spaces and no storage then may need 2 bedrooms
• Air con must work well and cool off rooms quickly and easily
• Strong water pressure especially for shower; and hot water
• VERY quiet – need to be able to sleep in to late mornings or even afternoons sometimes. So, no construction projects, no karaoke places, no schools, etc…
• Spacious and plenty of light, especially the main living space (Main bedroom should be able to get very dark so can sleep during the day)
• Ideally would have a big swimming pool (at least about 15 meters long) so you can swim laps (or maybe just be near a public swimming pool at fitness center, etc.)
• Preferrably has a Balcony
• Preferably has generator in building for back-up power
• Need to have good parking for motorcycle and maybe a car later
• Cable and internet connections
• Washing machine available; preferably has oven too, spacious kitchen
• Prefer higher floors; if higher than first floor should have elevator
• Budget is about $400 - $600 if utilities and cable/internet not included and about $600 - $800 if everything is included. On the lower end if no pool, but meets other criteria. On the higher end if has pool. I have a maid so I don’t need cleaning or laundry service.
• I will want to talk to other renters to make sure the area is quiet (morning and night), the landlords are responsive, things work well and no major problems like leaks, and utilities bills are reasonable, etc.
• The first contract could be for 6 months, possibly one year, and then month to month after that. Will likely be here for several more years.
