Job Overview

To facilitate training to complex organisations facing technical difficulties

Job Responsibilities

Identification of training needs

• Assist in identifying client training needs and training business opportunities.
• Assist in developing and presenting training proposals to meet client requirements.
• Liaise and communicate effectively with Training Advisers and Training Services Manager
Development of training solutions to meet training needs
• Develop and deliver programmes of work, workshops and events consistent with The Capacity Specialist’s image and reputation
• Review and improve services provided
Design and produce training materials
• Design and develop quality training materials for standard, tailored and customised workshops and events
Deliver training workshops and events
• Manage and deliver programmes of work, workshops and events consistent with The Capacity Specialist’s image and reputation.
• Meet published and agreed training objectives.
Develop business opportunities
• Facilitate training business development
• Build positive relationships with Training Services’ clients, liaising with Training Advisors & Training Services Manager as appropriate
Continual Professional Development
• Maintain currency of technical knowledge and latest thinking, and future developments of subjects related to own business sectors
• Continually review and improve training design and delivery skills
Support The Capacity Specialist internal training
• Develop and deliver The Capacity Specialist training, liaising with Training Advisors & Training Services Manager as appropriate

Job Requirements

Experience, qualifications and performance
Trainers must have:
• Delivered Training > 100 days in a lead role for an international training provider - Minimum of 10 years working experience
• No justifiable client complaints in last 2 years
• Good working relationships with staff
• Master’s Degree qualified preferred • Experience in participatory/trainer centred approach
• Experience working as a Staff Trainer or Professional Developer and enthusiastic about the industry
• Comfortable with technology and relishes new opportunities
• Proactive in recommendations for the business
• Proven successful experience
• Sound knowledge of the training industry
• Fluent in Khmer as well as an upper intermediate level of English
