The Capacity Specialists is a business of Sociaven Co, Ltd, a company registered in Cambodia. The Capacity Specialists provides innovative training and consulting services to the corporate, NGO and SME sectors.

The Capacity Specialists has established a new training centre and is looking for a technical expert in learning & development to fill the position of Technical Advisor and to support its ongoing growth and operations. The position can be flexible – either full-time or part-time. The Technical Advisor will work closely with the Training Services Manager and the CEO.

The objectives of the role include:

• Provide technical advice for all training services offered by The Capacity Specialists
• Ensure all training services maintain high technical standards
• Develop new training workshops and training services
• Facilitate training workshops in a participatory and interactive training style
• Develop other areas for consultancy including training needs assessments

DUTIES OF POSTION

The main tasks of the role are as follows:
• Act as technical expert on learning and development by providing advice and feedback on training services and developing standards for training services
• Review training materials to ensure consistency with better practice
• Monitor delivery of training to ensure it is in accordance with The Capacity Specialists standards
• Coach and mentor junior contract trainers
• Write materials for new training workshops
• Attend meetings with potential clients to promote training services
• Facilitate regular training workshops in areas of expertise
• Assist the CEO in promoting consulting services

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION

• At least 10 years’ experience in Learning & Development
• Degree qualified
• Demonstrated experience as a facilitator essential
• Experience in business development preferred
• Ability to interact and build strong relationships with all levels / types of people
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge of written and spoken English
• Ability to identify problems and come up with innovative and creative solutions
• Ability to develop new ideas and identify and analyse new market opportunities
• Professional attitude, honest and hard working
• Self-motivated and results oriented
