Cambodia will be sending a Strong contingent of 230 Athletes and Officials to the 26th SEA Games coming up in November 2012. The NOCC Secretary General, Mr. Vath Chamroeun made this known earlier last week following the clearance of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia’s proposal by the Royal government.
The Cambodian National basketball team let a 12 points lead slip off to go down 74-77 to the Ho chi Minh City Basketball team in a Pre-SEA games Friendly Encounter on Friday afternoon.
The Game which is the first of two games organized by the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia as part of the Team Support for the 26th South East Asian Games to be held in Jarkata next month kicked of at around 5pm at the indoor hall of the national sports Complex.
The Duo of American based Cambodian Born Basketball Players, Pek Mith and Sop Oeun Stormed the Kingdom at about 10pm Tuesday night from their USA base ahead of the 2011 SEA games which will be held in Indonesia.

The Cambodia national basketball team is set to take on the Ho chi Minch City Basketball Team in a two game pre Sea game warm up reveals National Team basketball Coach, Mr. Austin Koledoye. The National team Coach made this known last Friday after team training at the National Sports Complex. “ As the SEA games is drawing close, we are perfecting our strategies for the games and with this friendly, game, I will be able to see my players in a competitive game for the first time in a long time” the Nigerian born tactician says.
JAKARTA (18 Oct 2011) – The draw for the men’s football event at the 26th edition of the SEA Games will be held ‘live’ tomorrow at the RCTI Studio in West Jakarta.
The drawing will be done at Studio 4 RCTI at Jl. Raya Pejuangan No. 1, Kebon Jeruk in Jakarta Barat.
The ‘live’ programme has been scheduled for 1530hrs.
In the meantime, the official draw for the Futsal event will be held on the same day and at the same venue although it will not be shown ‘live’.
The draw for the Futsal event for both men and women will be held earlier at 1300hrs.
Cambodia's Medal haul increased after the end of Saturday's events thanks to Shorinjo Kempo which finished with 1 silver and six bronze medals.
The high point of the day for Cambodia came at the Caricas Sports hall in Jakarta as Sovan Rachana, fighting for women’s Randori (Free Sparring) 57kg - Female gold, lost a valiant battle against home favourite Ligar Nur Lailah of Indonesia.
