Since walking around Saigon is not the most enjoyable experience for someone that likes mountain air, I'm looking for a way to exercise, if possible outdoors in a park, but indoors could also be an option. I thought of one of the vietnamese martial arts maybe, or dancing (as you see, I'm quite open-minded! ), as long as it gives me an opportunity to move.
Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks a lot and have a nice weekend
Heidi
hey heidi,
im tim from aust. been here for about 1 month - been trying to look for martial arts gym or even salsa dancing classes, but cant seem to find any if you do come across something please let me know! did muay thai in aust and cant seem to find any gyms here to train even though so close thailand! the gyms here in like parksons and hotels can be pricy! heard some guys were playing ultimate frisbee at RMIT in dst 2 i think every sunday noon.
Hey Tim,
Thanks for our reply. I came across a website for dance classes, I think they've got salsa too. http://www.dancentervn.com/T1_Home.htm (open it with explorer, doesn't work with mozilla) and yoga too at Saigon yoga http://www.saigonyoga.com/home.html .
Both look pretty cool but probably a bit more expensive than average...
Btw, I'm planning to go on a cycling tour in Mekong delta next weekend (2 days, 170USD all included), so if you're interested or anyone (nice )that you know, welcome! They only organise group pax. http://www.innoviet.com/biking-vietnam.html
Cheers
Heidi
