I was wondering if there is any english speaking doctors in Laos. Specifically any paediatricians as we will be travleling with young children.
Bear with me and I will confirm exact details soon and get back to you, but I do know for Australians there is a clinic available, so will confirm if other Natonalities can also use this service. There is an international clinic but will check just how good this service is also. Most people have told me that they go to Udonthani (which is approx) 2 hours away in Thailand, or Bangkok for medical treatment.

The best doctors service would be the French Clinic. He speaks French and English and do their own tests and is very good. His name is Dr Jean-Marie HOSPIED and his number is (856) 21 214150 and is situated on Koubieng-simuang Road. They also have a dental clinic available there also.

Do you know any motorbike rental places in Laos?
I used the Australian Clinic some years ago, very expensive and limited treatment available. Most embassies recommend going to Thailand. AEK Hospital in Udon Thani is the best in the area and they have an ambulance service that is allowed to pick up and drop off patietns in Vientiane.
