The story is both tragic and a warning for those with pets. A French lady died last Friday leaving five dogs and about 30 cats in her home. The police locked the house up with about 20 cats trapped in some of the rooms. The cats had no food or water. Thankfully, due to the hard work of Christine Lesaffre the family were contacted and gave permission for the house to be opened before they arrived in Cambodia.
Elma Placido and Christine opened the house and Elma found a home for the dogs.Sadly some of the cats were killed by the dogs when they tried to escape. Five cats have already been adopted but about 19 cats still need to find homes.
PPAWS will spay, neuter, de-worm and do the first vaccination for all the cats. But they desperately need to find loving homes. They have never been able to go outside because of the five dogs.
