You will be joining the multi disciplinary team of Friends-International (FI) comprised of over 500 professionals committed to achieving best quality and innovative holistic service for youth children and families worldwide.

What will you do?

As a Social Work Technical Advisor you would need to build the capacity of local teams who are working directly on the field with the most marginalized children, youth and their families to become the new best standard in service provision.
This includes evaluating teams from various partner organizations, supporting, training and mentoring them to develop their skills to ensure that children remain in school, youth find gainful employment and families are able to care for their own children.

Initiatives to support and develop include:

Emotional support groups
Family reintegration processes
Child protection policies and procedures
Case management systems and analysis of complex cases
Outreach activities and community empowerment
Youth participation
Community training/education materials
National and international child protection advocacy campaigns
Social Work and counseling skills training programs
Pilot projects on diversion program, foster care and harm reduction
Best practice documentation and lessons learnt

About you:

• You are an independent and dynamic field worker, passionate about capacity building, able to drive best practice program development and work in close collaboration with other organizations and government agencies
• You have a strong commitment to quality and impact for the marginalized populations
• You have relevant experience in the field and a background in social work and/or psychosocial studies
• You master working English and if you also speak a SEA language this is a plus!
• You know your way around computers and social media.
• You will be our full time employee, based in Phnom Penh with potential to travel within the region for meetings and best practice sharing missions
