My cook/nanny's mother, who is also a home helper, will be available for work from 1 February 2007. She is in her mid-fifties. Her name is Vanny SEAN.

I am told that she has worked for expats for around 10 years. Her last employer is French and her duties included food purchasing and cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, running errands. She is able to speak and understand French (although I don't know to what level). Her level of English is very limited. She is also able to look after children (although her last employer did not have any).

I have not had personal contact with Vanny, but her daughter has been working for me since I moved to Phnom Penh and we are thoroughly happy with how she conducts herself. She is honest, diligent, quick to learn, reliable, a really good cook and very good with our children. If this is a reflection of her mother, then it's a pretty good one.
