The locals and expats might be struggling with the name but that’s not keeping them away from this newly opened cool spot right at the heart of Saigon’s district 1. Named after a French era mayor, Paul Blanchy, we’re told his moustache attracted some attention in the colony. The map of colonial era Saigon covering one wall offers a token connection to the past. The rest is hyper modern, including the thumping tunes. There’s plenty more to come here with a restaurant and rooftop opening soon. The rooftop will provide some welcome relief from the oppressive cigarette smoke.
