Cambodia Seeks Redemption against Thailand in SEA games Basketball

Cambodia Basketball team at the SEA Games will today take on Thailand in their second group B game following a comprehensive lose to Defending Champions Philippines on Monday. The Philippines won the tie 127-68 leaving Cambodia to seek for an outright win over neighbors Thailand who defeated Vietnam in the first game on Monday 85-54.

" we knew Philippines will be a problem, We have always struggled against them so we now have to win our next two games to give us a chance of going into the next round" Coach Austin Koledoye said.

Cambodia were handed a Comprehensive 4-0 drubbing by Thailand who bounced back from their mid-week defeat to Malaysia to give themselves a life line of progressing from the " Group of Death in a Group A match that was played in front of a sparse crowd at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium Friday evening.

PHUKET: Friends of Michael Sand Andersen, a long-term Phuket expat who died in a motorcycle accident on August 26, will hold a remembrance gathering for him on Saturday, September 10.

Mr Andersen, 39, died from injuries sustained when he fell off his motorbike on Soi Yodsane while trying to drive down Big Buddha Hill in Chalong during heavy rain.

Following on from last weeks article by the British press, EAS has recently received this press release from SISHA requesting a Call to the Public for information

On Sunday 27th of June
, Mr. David Fletcher, a British national living in Phnom Penh, suspected of child abuses, was arrested at the guest house by Royal Thai Police for immigration offences, specifically failing to notify the Thai immigration authorities of his previous criminal convictions in the UK. Fletcher is currently in a Thai immigration detention centre awaiting a decision from the Thai authorities regarding deportation.
