SEA Games Soccer: Cambodia gets new date.

The Matches for the SEA games football events have been brought back according to a release from the Asean Football Federation. Cambodia was originally scheduled for Nov 9th will now take on host Indonesia on 7th November with kick off at 7pm local time at the 88,000 capacity Bung Karno Stadium Jakarta.

Spokesman of the Football Federation of Cambodia Mr May Tola reacting to the changes stated that the Federation is satisfied with the training Schedule and Match fixtures and have made all arrangements to prosecute the competition. “It is OK, we are fine with the arrangement and will be in Jakarta early enough to prepare for our opening game” May Tola told Expat-Advisory on telephone from Bangladesh where he is on official assignment and will be due back in Phnom penh on 2nd November.

Meanwhile the Football contingent is set to leave for Indonesia on the 3rd of November to acclimatize with the venue before their opening game on 7th. Cambodia lost 1-0 to Nepal in their final warm up match on Friday and are in Group A along with host Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. Cambodia is the only team in the group yet to win the SEA games gold.

Cambodia's SEA Games football fixtures:

7 Nov Indonesia v Cambodia at 7pm
9 Nov Singapore v Cambodia at 7pm
11 Nov Thailand v Cambodia at 5pm
13 Nov Malaysia v Cambodia at 4pm

All matches will be played at the 88,000 capacity Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta.
