The Local, Official Opening Party
The area around the Russian Market has long been in need of a good watering hole. With a large ex-pat community living in the vicinity, it’s a wonder why there are few bars around for those not wanting to make the trek to the riverside. However we need wait no longer. The Local is the latest venture by seasoned bar owner Kamala Hood and boasts one of the best locations in this area of town. Perfectly situated on street 454, just around the corner from the market it’s a great place to stop by for a beer or something to eat.
The official opening of The Local will be held on Saturday the 18th of September, starting from 5pm, and promises to be a great night, with a free barbeque, live music and drink specials it will be a great opportunity to check out this multi layered bar.
The Local itself is split between three levels, the downstairs which is a comfortable and relaxed dining space with a menu of both Khmer and western food, the mezzanine cocktail bar with a flat screen sports TV or the rooftop where you can play a game of pool while enjoying the spectacular views across the city.
So, drop down on Saturday night to enjoy the opening party to the newest bar in town. Located on street 454 and corner 155 (just around from Coffee Corner) you won’t be disappointed.
