FABIO CANNAVARO , Former Napoli, Parma, Inter Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid and ITALY Defender is set to visit CAMBODIA, Kingdom of Wonder on 8 & 9 JAN 2012.

According to reports gathered by Expat Advisory, The 2006 Footballer of the year is said to be coming to Cambodia under the special invitation of a Business Magnate who is ready to do almost anything to promote football in the Kingdom.

According to the source who claims anonymity, "Fabio will be having a press conference or two, teaching skills to kids or youths most likely at Olympic Stadium and will be having personal appearances with the tour sponsors and a gala dinner" the source Stated.

Nine Players of Reigning Metfone C-League champions Phnom Penh Crown FC were last week clamped with lenghty Bans by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) following their role in a fracas during the AFC President’s Cup final on September 25.
Striker Chan Chaya, San Narith and Defender Sun Sovannrithy were handed six-month suspensions from all football competition for assaulting the referee during the ugly scenes in Kaosiung, Taiwan.

FFC Reveals new Format for Hun Sen Cup

The Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) has revealed a revamped format for its 2012 edition of the Samdech Hun Sen Cup, which is set to run from January 7 to February 4.

This was made known by FFC general secretary Kul Sophana in an Exclusive interview, the Phnom Penh post reported on Friday.

The premier annual club tournament would feature two expanded stages – a qualification round, played at five provincial centres, and a group stage played in Phnom Penh.

Myanmar wins Mekong Youth U-21 Football Cup 2011, beating Thailand 2-1

PHNOM PENH, October 16 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar beat Thailand 2-1 in the final of the 1st Mekong Region Youth U-21 International Football Tournament BIDC Cup 2011 at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

During the match, Thailand's Pakorn Parmpak scored one goal in the 40th minute, and in return, Myanmar's Zaw Lin levelled the score in the 42nd minute and Thet Naing scored another goal in the extra time.

At the end, Myanmar beat Thailand 2-1, winning the Cup and 20,000 U.S. dollar award.
